THE KŌMYŌ FACE DESIGN®
-Personalized Facial Sculpting, Guided by Your Natural Features-

What Is THE KŌMYŌ FACE DESIGN®?
A personalized hands-on facial designed to enhance contours, improve the appearance of facial balance, and ease tension—especially for clients in their 40s and beyond.
Developed by elieoZen in Tokyo, THE KŌMYŌ FACE DESIGN® considers the face’s three-dimensional structure and its connections with the scalp, jaw, neck, shoulders, and upper body.
Before each session, we assess facial movement, visible asymmetry, habitual expressions, jaw tension, posture, and tightness in the scalp, neck, and shoulders. We then tailor the treatment to your needs that day and your personal goals.
Each session is individually designed, with the aim of creating a balanced, refreshed, and naturally defined appearance while preserving your unique features.
Looking Beyond the Skin
In your 40s and beyond, you may begin to notice changes in your cheeks, jawline, or the area around your mouth. Your face may look less defined, more asymmetrical, or more tired than before.
Skin hydration and firmness are only part of the picture. Habitual expressions, muscle tension, jaw clenching, tightness in the scalp and neck, posture, and everyday habits may also influence how your face looks and feels.
At elieoZen, we consider these factors together. A consultation and hands-on assessment help us identify areas of tension and tailor each treatment to your needs.

Facial Contours and Balance
We assess your face from the front and in profile, considering your cheeks, mouth, eyes, eyebrows, and jawline. Our aim is to enhance overall harmony while respecting your natural bone structure, expressions, and individual features, rather than making both sides perfectly identical.

Jaw and Temple Tension
Clenching or grinding your teeth may be associated with tension around the jaw and temples. We ask about your habits and assess how your facial muscles move, then adjust the pressure to suit each area and your comfort.

Connections with the Scalp, Neck, and Shoulders
We consider the face alongside the scalp, neck, shoulders, and décolletage. Depending on your treatment, care may extend to these areas to ease feelings of tension and support a refreshed facial appearance.

Facial Expressions, Posture, and Daily Habits
Your posture at a desk or while using a smartphone, your sleeping position, chewing habits, and habitual expressions may influence muscle tension and how you use each side of your face. Where helpful, we offer practical suggestions for everyday care.

A Treatment Designed for Your Face
THE KŌMYŌ FACE DESIGN® is not a fixed sequence performed with the same pressure on every client. After consultation and observation, we personalize:
Every session is individually tailored. Following your consultation and assessment, we adjust:
-
The areas we focus on
-
The depth and direction of pressure
-
The time spent on each area
-
How treatment time is shared between the face, scalp, neck, and shoulders
-
The concerns we prioritize that day
-
The techniques used to work toward your desired results
Strong pressure is not a goal in itself. We adjust our techniques to suit each area, your needs, and your comfort.
Treatment Areas
The core treatment areas are the face, jaw, temples, scalp, neck, and shoulders.
Depending on the treatment you choose, the session may also include the décolletage, back, upper arms, or lower back.
The areas treated are tailored to your needs, preferences, and selected treatment.

How Does It Differ from a Skin-Focused Facial?
Many traditional facials focus on skincare concerns such as cleansing, hydration, clogged pores, and exfoliation.
THE KŌMYŌ FACE DESIGN® takes a broader approach, considering facial contours and balance, habitual expressions, jaw and temple tension, and the connections between the face, scalp, neck, and shoulders.Alongside skincare, we focus on facial definition, ease of movement, and an appearance that remains naturally yours.
